‘Funkslap’ is a screaming slab of contemporary jump up as a chorus of misfit basses sing in misshapen harmony over a beefy drum arrangement. Peppered with a selection of rave tones through the ages, and bolstered with a series of unrelenting rises that peak throughout the track, ‘Funkslap’ lives up to its chop-smacking title in every sense of the word.

‘Switch’, meanwhile, is home much more of a guttural groove. Opening with beautiful breezy chords and a textbook step-based break, it lulls you into a false of security before leaping deep into an angular swing and 40-a-day croaking bassline that’s not dissimilar to a certain ‘Diplodocus’. And we don’t use Noisia comparisons lightly…

Snapping from skippy riddim to staggered stomp, complete with liberal use of the lush chords at the beginning, ‘Switch’ has all the hallmarks of a ubiquitous DJ tool that’s found in every DJ’s wallet.
